An unexpected package arrived on my doorstep today. The boys were intrigued by the penguin and 'Keep Frozen' label on the box. They immediately recalled the scene from "Mr. Popper's Penguins" where the first crate arrived and out popped a penguin. I noticed that it was from an ice cream vendor and assumed my hubbie ordered a surprise for me. I called him on his commute home and he gave me the best surprise of all. Apparently his company sent employees FREE ice cream sundae kits complete with glass sundae dishes, six pints of premuim ice cream, gourmet sauces, nuts and sprinkles!!
The boys and I quickly tore into the box, dry ice and all, to find Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice creams as well as Haagan Daas Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla. I can't think of a better way to end Dairy Month. It looks like we're having sundaes on Saturday! Yippee!
